The saddest little bird in Brooklyn
We seized the moment! The sun was shining bright, there were swings waiting to be swung and the slides were calling. No matter the jammie pants or missing sock or even the Halloween shirt worn underneath the bomber jacket. The outdoors were a calling so we were a going! And truth be told the pajama wear wasn't the fashion statement we were trying to make-it just kind of happened. We had spent a long weekend visiting family. Instead of driving back to New York on Sunday night we tucked in an extra evening and drove back to Brooklyn bright and early Monday morning...and I mean before the sun woke up early In the rush of getting things together we couldn't find Bebe Birds clothes. We couldn't even remember where we had put them. So we kept the ol' bird in pj's for the ride home. And it was a good idea too as Bebe bird snuggled up in his car seat and caught some extra Zzzz's for the two hour trek. Driving north to NYC the the sun rose higher and the sun ray's brighter. Our friends beckoned and well, we couldn't resist. So, we dropped Papa Bird off to start his work day and we started ours on the Park Slope play ground-pajamas and all.
Boyz hitting the turf
We picnicked. We caught up with old friends and even had an impromptu play date with Courtney and Charely from one of our favorite toy shops, Norman and Jules. It was a good morning with two year old tantrums thrown in for good measure. You, see these day's I find myself reminding my youngest brother to go with life's flow. And realize I have to take my own advice. Life's so much more enjoyable that way. Truthfully, what's the point of living life if you're not really LIVING LIFE? So, sometimes we head to the park in jamies if the sun calls, and we sleep in our stroller if that allows extra moments with friends. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote " The quality of motion is to flow and not to freeze." So we will flow into spring & then into summer- ready for adventure!
