We're back.
As months have passed since my last blog post the seasons have changed & the leaves began to fall from the hefty trees while my computer sat silent in the corner of our living room. It was an incident with a water bottle that caused such a hush. It wasn't good. In fact, it was downright terrible since my phone also fell victim. It was a day before our trip to the West Coast. I toted both devices in my carryon with high hopes that the California sun would work some magic. I was completely unplugged for the first time in a long time. I felt free and naked all at once. We would carefully place both the laptop and cell phone on the deck hoping the dry air and warm sunshine would clear out the water that had made a home for itself inside both devices. It worked-for the phone. But, the ol' Mac Book needed some more time and attention before it could be revived. With a lot of TLC from Papa my Mac Book was reconnected to the big wide world of the internet…Exhale! (seriously-EXHALE!)
When the silence took over I found opportunities in areas I hadn't made time for like reading. I finished two truly inspiring books A Long Way Home by Saroo Brierley and Daily Love: Growing into Grace by Mastin Kipp. I've also started working out again! Ya boyeee! And, although the blog has been at a standstill during this time period, our life here in Brooklyn has been moving faster than a New Yorker running to catch the F train. There have been weddings, and outings and great celebrations. And Bebe Bird you wonder? Oh, Bebe Bird...he's not such a baby anymore. He's 3 years going on 4. Like most parents, I wonder where the time went and I'm both melancholy and entertained with this little boy who play's wildly before me.
