From the Mouth of a Three Year Old (Part Three)

When living with a three year old you'll hear some interesting one liners.  I've been recording them and taking snap shots. I'll emailing them to myself in hopes not to forget.  Take a peak of some my favorites over the last few months.

On Playing Sports:
(He attends his first soccer practice and introduces himself to his coach for the first time.)
Him: "My name's Rocco and I can do fast things."

On Age & Becoming a Man:
(He's with my moms dog)
Him: "You're a nice dog.  I can tell you're getting bigger & Bigger!  Soon you'll be a man."

To his grandfather (my stepdad)
Him: "Grandma is going to sit next to me. Not you, you're old.  But not me, I'm still a wittle boy."

On Me:
Me: "I can tell you're awesome, Buddy."
Him:  "And I can tell you're as sweet as pie."

On Being a Superhero:
(Before bedtime begins brushing his hair.)
Him:  "There!" (he says to himself) "just like Supaman."

Him:  "Look Mama, I'm the new Supaman!"

(He's playing in the open field with his friend.  They have sticks that are "magical" I overhear him declare to his friends)
Him: "…And my superpower is…I make rainbows!" and swings the stick over his head.

(He and his cousin are tossing a "golden penny" into the air. It rolls on the ground and lands near the curb.):
Him: "I saved the day! Did you see that? It was so beautiful."

On the Bathroom
(We enter a public bathroom that was recently cleaned)
Him: "This is a clean potty.  Now, I'm going to make it dirty."

On Papa
Me: "Papa's birthday is coming up.  What should we get him?
Him: "We should get him a really, really, BIG train." (while stretching his arms as far as they could go)

On Fine Dining
Waitress: "What can I get for the little guy?"
Him: "It's the Big guy.  What can you get for the Big guy!"

Me: Buddy eat your eggies
Him: I can't Mama, they're too flappy.

Him:  Mama, can I have some juice?
Me: Sure, you can have some juice this morning. (getting juice out of the fridge)
Him:  Wait!  Not yet!  NOT YET!
Me: Ummm…ok, when?
Him:  On Thursday.

(While sipping hot cocoa on a chilly fall morning)
Him : "My tummy is so sooo happy!" (tilts his head back and squeezes his eyes shut)  "I love my cat! I love my mama and I love my tummy."

On Bedtime:
(He lays down in his bed.)
Him: "Mama, lay next to me."
(I lay next to him and jumps out of his bed and runs into our room to lay down in our bed. I hear him call out.)
Him:  "I'm going to sleep in your bed.  Can I borrow your bed?"

(He was going to bed and declares he's "Vewy, vewy Hungry!" I go to make him toast.)
Me: "How are you going to grow if you don't go to sleep?"
Him: "It's okay Mama, I've got these sleeping glasses that'll help me grow."m(and pulls out his toy glasses)

(Getting ready for bedtime stories he sits in his rocking chair)
Him: "You read the story. I'll be the witch in jammies over here."

On Meeting New People:
Him: "Hi! I'm Rocco."
Boy: "My name is Ollie"
(Rocco smiles real big because Ollie is also his cats name)
Him:  Wow!  That's a GREAT name!"

(A group of school kids walk by.)
Boy: "Hey Booty."
Him: "My name is not Booty!"
Girl: "Hi little guy."
Him:  "I'm not Wittle!"

On Fashion:

Him: "Mama, I'm cold." (Looks at the red jacket he is wearing.)  "It's a good thing I have my beautiful red jacket on."
