This past weekend Bebe Bird got lucky. While visiting Brooklyn, his aunt gifted him with these incredible 28 piece wooden block set as an early holiday present before jetting off to Europe for a month-(Lucky? Indeed! Jealous? You bet 'cha!) These colorful hand carved blocks, made by
Uncle Goose and sold at
Owl & Thistle General Store in Brooklyn, received a lot of fan fare in our home. Bebe Bird, being the block collector he is, loved the bright hues, size of each block and the array of designs-from letters (upper and lowercase) to numbers and animals. Now, being a math teacher, Bebe Birds Auntie was exceptionally pleased when she discovered math symbols printed on some of the wood blocks-think addition, subtraction, division & multiplication. As a mama to a block collector I can share with you that the craftsmanship and design is unlike any other we own. They are esthetically beautiful and more importantly incredibly entertaining a bebe bird!
