A few weeks ago my friend (and former boss-a mama bird herself) emailed me and wrote, "You need to check out this new shop I found on North 3rd in Williamsburg. I don't know the name, (big help) but you need to write about it." Well, that was good enough for me. A few days later, with a squirmy Bebe Bird in tow, we hopped on the G train and headed to Williamsburg, Brooklyn- North 3rd bound. No matter we didn't know the name-we knew it was going to be good. With a little bit of leg work and not so much research Bebe Bird and I discovered the little shop,
Allegria Boutique owned and operated by two friends, Lula and Melanie. Needless to say we were not disappointed. What a beautiful variety of toys, children's clothing and home decor. Simply put, Allegria Boutique is a "lifestyle store for loved children and their families."
Here are some not to miss goodies when doing your holiday shopping this season:
From Top Down: Haba's Japanese architectural blocks, $45; Bakker's satchel, $48; Haba's Medieval architectural blocks, $45; Twoolies handcrafted wool creatures, $18, all available at Allegria Boutique, Brooklyn, 718.388.2500
